International Undergraduate Program

International undergraduate students at The University of Manitoba can now apply for the International Undergraduate Student Scholarship, which was created to recognize their outstanding academic success. The institution offers programs leading to recognized or Postgraduate Degrees in every academic discipline and programs don’t need to submit a separate application for the majority of scholarships. After enrolling in a degree program, all applicants are automatically taken into consideration.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from other programs are eligible for scholarships if they:

  • are in Canada with legitimate student visas;
  • who have completed at least 24 credits in any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba;
  • demonstrate outstanding academic progress on courses taken during the most recent regular academic session (minimum sessional grade point average of 3.5)
  • are pursuing their undergraduate studies full-time for the following year in a row during the Fall/Winter academic session.

Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who meet the aforementioned requirements in the order determined by their sessional GPA, up until all funds have been used or the required GPA has been attained. By the end of July, those who are qualified will be notified.

  • The highest scores in three of Biology 30S, Chemistry 30S, Physics 30S, History 30S, Geography 30S, Computer Science 30S, or a language at the 30S level other than those accepted for (1.1) above
  • Mathematics 30S (either pre-calculus 30S or applied 30S only).
  • have completed a University of Manitoba application for admission by the deadline of December 1, which includes payment of the application fee.
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree to be eligible for a Master’s.
  • It takes a Master’s Degree certificate to get admitted to a Ph.D. program.
