The eligibility criteria to meet the requirement of IELTS band required for Sweden is an overall score of 6.5 with no band below 5.5. For masters studies at Malmo University minimum bachelor degree is required from any recognized university or institute, degree must be equivalent to bachelors in the Swedish educational system.

1) Malmo University Master’s Scholarships

It offers a limited number of scholarships.   • Applicants who have applied in the first admissions round
  • Chose an English-taught master’s programme at Malmo University as their first choice on University Admissions (ranked as number 1 of 4)
  • Were admitted to their first choice programme
  • Required to pay tuition fees for university studies in Sweden

Application process

  • To apply for the scholarship, applicants must follow these steps:
  • Apply for one of our master’s programmes through University Admissions as your first priority. Make sure to pay the application fee to University Admissions.
  • Admitted students will receive more information on how to apply for the scholarship after Notification of Selection Results.
  • Scholarship selection will be based on previous academic excellence, the experience described in your CV, and your ability to motivate social engagement through your chosen programme at Malmö University.
  • Applicants who have been offered a scholarship will be notified by mid-May. Those who are not offered a scholarship will not be notified individually.

2) Malmo University Excellence Scholarships

Limited number of excellence scholarships for current fee-paying students who are performing with excellence at their studies are also offered. Excellence Scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee waiver for the upcoming academic year. It covers partial or up to the full tuition fee but does not cover other expenses, such as living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

Fee-paying students, currently enrolled in a programme at Malmo University, who start their second or third year of studies in the upcoming Autumn Semester can apply.

Application process

The scholarship application round for the academic year 2024/2025 will open at the end of the Spring Semester 2024.
Eligible students will receive more information on how to apply for the scholarship towards the end of the Spring Semester.
Since the scholarships are awarded based on results from the current academic year, the scholarship results are published in June, when students are expected to have completed all the year’s courses.
The number and value of MUES-scholarships awarded each year depend on the resources available.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum requirement for master’s studies is a completed bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to one in the Swedish educational system.

3) Swedish Institute Scholarship

This is a government sponsored fully funded scholarship for international students who want to study Masters programs at universities in Sweden.

SISGP Application Process

  • First you need to apply for Masters programme at any university in Sweden through universityadmissions.se.
  • You can apply for up to four programmes but you are eligible for scholarship for only your first priority programme.
  • Submit your application for masters programmes with complete details and all the required documents. You must submit university application fee.
  • If you get admission for your first priority masters programme then you can apply for Swedish Institute scholarships for Global Professions.
