Eligibility Criteria

• Have a foreign nationality and have resided overseas continuously for at least six years (eight for medical fields), with no more than 120 days per year spent in Taiwan.
• Be a former Mainland China citizen with foreign nationality and no household registration in Taiwan, with six years of continuous overseas residence.

Applicants must also have the required academic background: a high school diploma for bachelor’s programs, a bachelor’s degree for master’s, and a master’s degree for PhD programs.

Scholarship Benefits

The NTHU International Student Scholarship is divided into two types:

• Type A (Full Scholarship): Covers full tuition, miscellaneous fees, and credit fees, plus a monthly living allowance.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s: NTD 5,000 per month
  • PhD: NTD 10,000–40,000 per month (depending on college and advisor support)
• Type B (Tuition Waiver): Covers tuition and fees only.

The scholarship is awarded for one year (bachelor’s), two years (master’s), or four years (PhD), with renewal contingent on academic performance.
