The Guillaume Dupaix International Scholarship is a prestigious, merit-based funding opportunity designed to attract outstanding international students to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Luxembourg. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- International applicants from both EU and non-EU countries
- Applying for a Master’s degree at the University of Luxembourg
- Master’s programme must be fully completed in Luxembourg (mandatory semesters or years abroad are not eligible)
- Excellent academic performance during undergraduate studies
- Full-time students only
- Must not be receiving Luxembourg State Financial Aid for Higher Education (formerly CEDIES)
Eligible Countries
The scholarship is available to students from a wide range of countries, including:
- Regular Master’s students:
Western Balkans, Ibero-American countries, Thailand, Vietnam, Belarus, Egypt, India, Moldova, Russia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Ukraine- Funding covers two years of Master’s study
- Graduate dual-degree students:
Partner universities in China, Thailand, and Vietnam- Funding covers two semesters of mobility
Number of Awards
- Maximum 30 students per year
- Up to 10 students per faculty
Duration
- Up to 2 years, corresponding to the standard duration of the Master’s programme
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
- Approx. €11,000 per academic year, for up to two years
- One portion covers student accommodation and Remaining amount is paid in installments.
- For regular students, the remaining amount is paid at the beginning of each semester, for a maximum of two years.
- For exchange students, it is paid at the beginning and end of the exchange semester.
Tuition fees are not included in the scholarship.

Application Procedure
Step 1: Apply for a Master’s Programme
- Review admission requirements on the relevant Master’s programme webpage
- Submit your application and required documents via the online admissions portal (before 24 March 2026)
Step 2: Evaluation of Master’s Application
- Application is reviewed by the Programme Director
- Eligible candidates demonstrating excellence will be invited to apply for the scholarship
Step 3: Scholarship Application
Applicants must:
- Complete the online scholarship form.
- Submit a personal statement explaining motivation and strengths.
- Provide two academic recommendation letters.
