Daemen University Scholarships

Daemen University is a private university in Amherst, which offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level degree scholarships to encourage students to be creative and innovative leaders for an interconnected world. As the university is located in New York USA, to attract academically outstanding students, Daemen University is awarding the Merit and Competition based Scholarships for USA citizens as well as for international students. The students who will apply in Daemen will be considered in one of the six scholarship awards that will be based on their academic performance and citizenship. International students from all around the world are eligible to apply.

There is no requirement for the SAT and ACT for the scholarship, Also there is no application fee too. The students who have completed their high school are eligible to apply. Scholarships range from $17,000 – $5,000 for academic year. The scholarships are awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance. These highly competitive scholarships are awarded for the undergraduates and graduates level. These various scholarships offered at the University has its own required criteria to apply.

Daemen was founded in 1947 by the Sisters of St. Francis. It is located in Western New York. It serves roughly 3000 students from all around the world. It has 64 degree majors in various fields, such as health sciences, business, and liberal arts and other disciplines for undergraduates and 19 programs for graduate students. It has ranked as a “Best National University” according to the U.S News & World Report. It has also been classified among “Doctoral/Professional Universities”. Presidents Scholarship

This prestigious scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.

• Amount of award (First Year): up to $12,500
• Amount of award (Transfers): up to $12,500
• Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 3.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.

Founders Scholarship

The Founders Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.

• Amount of award (First Year): up to $11,000
• Amount of award (Transfers): up to $11,000
• Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 3.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.

Deans Scholarship

The Deans Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.

• Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.5 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.

Distinguished Faculty Scholarship

The Distinguished Faculty Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.

• Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.5 QPA and full-time undergraduate status.

Alumni Scholarship

The Alumni Scholarship is awarded annually to first-year students or transfers based on academic performance.

• Amount of award (First Year): up to $7,000
• Amount of award (Transfers): up to $7,000
• Specification: Renewable upon maintaining a 2.0 QPA and full-time undergraduate status. 

International Scholarship

Both undergraduate and graduate students who complete the entire application process will have an opportunity to receive a scholarship based on academic performance.  Scholarships range from $9,500 – $12,500 for academic year.

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, students must apply to the university.  Upon acceptance, students will be notified regarding the amount of their scholarship.

Trustee Scholarship

This is one of the most prestigious award at the University. It is competition based scholarship awarded to only the best students. Students must be nominated for this scholarship and a separate application is required to be submitted for this award. Students will be interviewed at Scholars Day for Trustee Scholarship. This scholarship is renewable but for that students have to maintain at least 3.0 QPA.

Eligibility Criteria

• English Language Requirement: Applicants are required to provide evidence of meeting the Daemen University minimum English language proficiency requirements.
• Applicants must be international students.
• Students must be enrolled or enrolling to study an undergraduate and graduate degree program.
• Applicants must have a High school certificate or equivalent.
• Candidates must be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a structured manner and as good interpersonal and communication skill.
