International students and foreign German students are eligible for this scholarship. Undergraduates and graduate degree programs in any state recognized German institute.
Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation (FES) offers fully funded scholarship program for international students. Each year 40 scholarships are awarded to students. Monthly stipend is also given and students with child also eligible for family support. Requirements & Eligibility Criteria
Following are the eligibility criteria to apply for Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship,
- Students from Global South (Asia, Africa, Latin America), post-Soviet states as well as eastern and south-eastern European (EU) countries can apply.
- High academic record
- Admission letter to study at a state or state-recognized higher education institution in Germany
- Applicant must have sufficient knowledge of German, even if the courses are held in English. This means a “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” of at least DSH level 2, a “Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache” of at least level 4, a “Zertifikat C 1” by a Goethe Institute, the “Deutsche Sprachdiplom der Kultusministerkonferenz” on level II or Telc C1 Hochschule
- Candidates must show socio-political commitment and identification with the values ​​of social democracy
- Applicants having following Personality traits,

Scholarship Coverage
Scholarship covers following,

Step 2
After submitting online application form we will evaluate and if you are eligible for the scholarship you will be asked to submit further documents by email. You have three weeks to upload all the documents requested.
Step 3
Short listed candidates will be invited for two separate interviews, one with a liaison lecturer from your department and with a member of our selection committee.
Step 4
The selection committee makes the final decision on acceptance into one of our programs.
