University of California, Los Angeles’s IPAM presents The Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) – Los Angeles program. Its provides an opportunity for brilliant undergraduate students from all around the world to study math, computer science, and related disciplines to work in teams on real world research projects proposed by sponsors from industry or the public sector.
Research in Industrial Projects for Students (RIPS) Summer Internship Program offers a unique experience to the students, under the mentorship and guidance of academic and industry professional, to research a problem, analyze it and present its results both orally and inwriting. RIPS projects entail a significant amount of math and computer. Space mission design, crime modelling, machine learning, weather forecasting, digital picture blending, quantum computing, finance, and more have all been part of previous projects.
RIPS Internship Program has a duration of nine weeks in which RIPS-LA students will stay at UCLA campus and will collaborate with IPAM. In this internship program there is a estimated nine projects. Minimum age limit is 18 years old. Bachelors degree holders are encouraged to apply however Recent graduates can also apply who have received their degree no earlier than December 2024 may apply for RIPS Internship.

How to Apply
To apply for the RIPS Summer internships program visit the official website of IPAM UCLA, first you need to have all the documents ready after that visit the official website.
Click on the “APPLY” and Login using your email address, choose your own password and check the “this is my first login…” checkbox on your first login.
After login, fill out the Standard Coversheet. Make sure to enter your two reference writers, but do not check the “email notify writer on submit” box. Then Click Submit you will be redirected to RIPS Application Form.
Then fill out the RIPS application form.
Submit all the required documents Transcripts, CV and Two reference letters. You have to Make sure to check the boxes next to your reference writers’ names and click on the green arrow to send them an email request for a tailored reference letter (the system will email them the reference letter requests).
After you complete the application form and upload the required documents, click on “Apply.”
