Penn GSE Dean’s Scholarship

This merit-based scholarship is awarded following a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s credentials by the faculty during the admissions process. It is open to both domestic and international students, provided they submit their applications by the priority deadline specified for their respective programs. The Dean’s Scholarship can be combined with other scholarship offers extended by Penn GSE. Successful candidates will be notified of their Dean’s Scholarship award at the time of admission. It is important to note that the Dean’s Scholarship is not available for applicants to the Executive-Format programs.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistants (GAs) at Penn GSE are invaluable student workers who contribute academically significant services, including supervised involvement in faculty research projects, teaching support, outreach initiatives, admissions recruitment, student affairs support, and other relevant activities. GAs are appointed with specific hours and an hourly wage. Both domestic and international students have the opportunity to apply for these positions. Students admitted to a program that offers GAs will receive an invitation to apply alongside their admission letter. It is important to note that the GA hiring process operates independently from admission and scholarship considerations, with participating programs managing the selection process. Students who are selected as GAs will be notified directly by their respective program.

Eligibility Criteria:

Following are the minimum requirements to apply for masters scholarship at University of Pennsylvania,

  • Applicants who are already enrolled at Penn’s masters programs or in a first year of masters can get a partial tuition fee waiver through GSE merit scholarship.
  • Students from all countries are eligible to apply.
  • National and International students both are eligible for the GSE funded scholarships
  • Almost 75% of the applicants can get admission in the University of Penn on scholarships. University is intended to give as many scholarships as possible.
  • Candidates must show English Language Certificate.
