Austrian Government Scholarship Benefits
- A monthly(Stipend) scholarship instalment:1.050 EUR
- Free Health Insurance
- Free accommodation however OeAD scholarship holders has to pay an administrative fee of 18 EUR/month to the OeAD Housing Office for the provision of accommodation.
- Travel Allowance will be given to the successful candidates
Eligibility Criteria for OeAD Scholarship in Austria
- Candidates from all countries are eligible to apply except Austrian Citizens
- Only online application is accepted.
- Students can apply their bachelor thesis, diploma, master thesis or their dissertation.
- Those student who have already pursued studies in Austria in last six months.
- Maximum age limit for Doctoral students is 40 years
- Maximum age limit for undergraduates and graduates is 35 years
- All scholarships are based on competition. This means that even in the case of the fulfilment of all the requirements there is no legal claim to the award of the scholarship.
- Incomplete application will not be accepted

- Two letters of Recommendation must not be older than 6 month
- Scanned Passport Copy
- Evidence of previous Education (Transcripts and Certificates)
- confirmation of supervision by a supervisor at the chosen Austrian university, university of applied sciences or research institution
Language Requirements
The main language of instruction at Austrian universities and UAS is German; some programmes are taught in English. In order to be admitted to a degree programme, you have to prove knowledge of Germanlanguage. At some universities you need proficiency in German corresponding to level B2, at others corresponding to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
