Applications are open for Karolinska Institute Scholarships 2024 for international students. 1) The Karolinska Institute Global Master’s Scholarship

Excellent students with brilliant academic records are accepted into Global Master’s Programs with starts from each Autumn semester. The number of scholarships changes from year to year, but there is a total of 10 available for all Global Master’s Programs each year. With over 1500 international students applying for the scholarship each year, there is intense competition.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this Global Master’s Scholarship, you must:

  • Fulfill the entry and documentation requirements for the program you have applied for
  • Have applied to one of Karolinska Institutet’s Global Master’s Programs beginning in 2024
  • Be a tuition-paying student (from outside the EU/EEA), and have paid the application cost by 1 February 2024.
  • Only first-year students may apply.

Benefits:

  • The sole expense covered by the KI Global Master’s Scholarship is tuition (or part of the tuition fee for programs only partially given by Karolinska Institutet).
  • Another financing must be used to cover other costs, such as travel and living expenses.
  •  Be aware that the KI Global Master’s Scholarship is exclusively available to students enrolled in Karolinska Institutet’s Global Master’s Programs and cannot be used for any other type of education.
  • The selection procedure is here to benefit the candidates in that it is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s CV and credentials.
  • These are provided via University admissions and assessed in connection with the application for a KI Global Master’s program.
  • Scholarship recipients will receive a personal notification.
  • The Swedish government created legislation and launched Swedish Scholarship Programs for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from non-European nations.
  • The Swedish Universities Scholarships and the Sweden Government Scholarships are open to international students, and they acquire the same level as students of the same country or city.

2) KI-DIS Fellowship

The KI-DIS Fellowship is a merit-based, co-funded scholarship that can pay up to 200 000 SEK in tuition for two semesters (one year) at any of KI’s nine global master’s programs. This would apply to a master’s program lasting one year or the first year of a two-year program. An alumnus of DIS who attended school in Stockholm or Copenhagen is eligible to apply for the fellowship each year.

Eligibility:

Eligible students must

  • Be a tuition-paying student (from outside the EU/EEA), and have studied with DIS in either Stockholm or Copenhagen.
  • Have paid the application fee by 1 February 2024.
  • Meet the entry and documentation requirements for the program you have applied for and have applied to one of Karolinska Institute’s global master programs starting in 2024.
  • Only first-year students may apply.

Benefits:

  • The two semesters of tuition are covered by the KI-DIS Fellowship.
  • Other financings must be used to cover other costs, such as travel and living expenses.
  •  The second year of studies for students accepted into our 2-year programs must be covered by outside financing.
  • Be aware that the KI-DIS Fellowship can only be used towards the tuition of students enrolled in a Global Master’s Program at Karolinska Institutet.

3) The Swedish Institute’s Scholarship

For students from nations outside the EU/EEA, fully funded scholarship opportunity as applications are open to apply for Sweden Government Scholarship 2024 for international students. Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals(SISGP) is offering fully funded scholarships for master’s degree. International students from 41 countries are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Each year there are 350 scholarships are awarded.

Eligibility:

  • Fulfill the entry and documentation requirements for the program you have applied for
  • Have applied to one of Karolinska Institutet’s Global Master’s Programs beginning in 2024
  • For the international master’s programs offered by Karolinska Institutet, several domestic scholarship grants are accepted.
  • You may apply for these scholarships if you are a citizen of one of the nations listed below.

  • As a recipient of the SI scholarship, the scholarship covers all of your tuition costs each semester.
  • Accessing a top-notch education without worrying about costs is a privilege.
  • One of the very few (if not the only) scholarships in Sweden that provides a stipend for living expenses is the SI scholarship.
  • Holders of SI scholarships also receive the benefit of not having to pay the Swedish Migration Agency’s application fee when applying for a study visa.
  • Additionally, beneficiaries of SI scholarships receive insurance coverage for the duration of their study.

The application process for all three scholarship programs uses a form that will be posted on this page between February 10, 2024, and February 28, 2024.

The CV form that is required of applicants for our global master’s programs will be used in the hiring process.

Through universityadmissions.se, the online application website for Swedish higher education, you can apply for the Global Master’s programs. Verify that you possess the necessary academic credentials and language abilities before applying.

You must fulfill the general entry criteria, the program-specific requirements, and the English language requirement to be eligible.
