Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must not be Japanese
• Applicants must have obtained acceptance letter from any institution in Japan.
• Must have done PhD.
• Applicants maximum age limit must be 49.
• Must have English or Japanese language proficiency.
• Applicant must not have stayed in Japan currently or in past.
• Applicant must return to their native country after the fellowship and contribute to the development.

Scholarship Benefits

•  Monthly Stipend of JPY 220,000 will be given to cover living and research expenses. 
• A arrival fund of worth JPY 120,000 will be given to cover cost of initial settlement.
• Economy class return air ticket will be given.
• Medical insurance
• Study tours will be arranged by MIF for students.
