How to apply

Step 1 Online Application System
You must have an email address and You must be able to use online application system
Step 2 Online Registration
Visit the official application portal( you can google for the link) below and complete the application registration form as prompted. A confirmation email will be automatically sent to your inbox click that link to confirm registration.
Step 3 Creating an Application
Log in to the online application system and you will at the home page. You will see the scholarship program click on Open to start the application process. Click on the ‘Begin Eligibility Quiz’ button to access a short quiz which will determine whether or not you are eligible to apply to the programme. If you are eligible you will be further proceed to the application if you are not eligible you cannot proceed further.
Step 4 ORCID Number
You must have ORCID number, it is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher.
Step 5 Add Primary Supervisor
You must associate a pre-registered primary supervisor with your application through the participants section to the left of the ‘primary and additional participants’ tab.
Step 6 Complete the Application
Add all the required information and to endorse the level playing fields, Irish Research Council will not see the gender of the applicant. So it is advised that the application must be anonymous and free from pronouns or any hint which would identify the applicant’s identity and gender.
