Ireland Government Postgraduate Scholarships 2024 -Irish Research Council

Applications are open to apply for the Ireland Government’s Irish Research Council Scholarship 2024. Ireland Government Postgraduate Scholarship is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, and managed by the Irish Research Council. International students from all nations can apply for this scholarship to study Masters(1 and 2 years) and PhD(3 and 4 years) Degree Programs. Scholarship Benefits:

Following benefits are given under Ireland Government Scholarship,

  • A stipend of €19,000 per annum

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree(Bachelors) to apply for Masters Program.
  • Masters Degree to apply for Post Doctoral Programs
  • Citizen of any European or international countries are eligible to apply
  • There is no age limit
  • Must pass eligibility quiz on online application system
  • Application in only Irish and English is accepted
  • Applicants must not have had two previous unsuccessful applications to the relevant programme,

How to apply

Potential applicants should read the Government of Ireland Terms and Conditions carefully to ascertain whether or not they are eligible to apply. Indicative versions of the applicantion, supervisor and referee forms are provided for information purposes only. All participants must create and submit their forms via the online system.

Step 1 Online Application System

You must have an email address and You must be able to use online application system

Step 2 Online Registration

Visit the Apply Link below and complete the application registration form as prompted. A confirmation email will be automatically sent to your inbox click that link to confirm registraion.

Step 3 Creating an Application

Log in to the online application system and you will at the home page. You will see the scholarship program click on Open to start the application process. Click on the ‘Begin Eligibility Quiz’ button to access a short quiz which will determine whether or not you are eligible to apply to the programme. If you are eligible you will be further proceed to the application if you are not eligible you cannot proceed further.

Step 4 ORCID Number

You must have ORCID number, it is a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher. Get ORCID

Step 5 Add Primary Supervisor

You must associate a pre-registered primary supervisor with your application through the participants section to the left of the ‘primary and additional participants’ tab.

Step 6 Complete the Application

Add all the required information and to endorse the level playing fields, Irish Research Council will not see the gender of the applicant. So it is advised that the application must be anonymous and free from pronouns or any hint which would identify the applicant’s identity and gender.
