MIU University Scholarships

MIU City University Miami (formerly known as Marconi International University) is an innovative American university that offers undergraduate and graduate programs. These courses are delivered in on-campus and online formats. Their aim is to prepare students to face global changes and to suc­cess­fully apply their acquired aca­d­e­mic knowl­edge to real-life sit­u­a­tions.

MIU provides scholarship to their citizens as well as internationally. The ratio of awarded scholarship is based on the percentage according to their academic excellence. The scholarship eligibility is based on a multiple factors. Students may apply for scholarships, they are eligible for.

European, African, Asian, and Middle East Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship

The applicants who have been successfully graduated from a recognized institution will be awarded for twenty-five percent (25%) scholarship from the cost of tuition fee. The applicants who are from Europe, Africa, Asia or the Middle East can continue their studies Online at MIU. Students must send the scholarship application form in which they must indicate the scholarship they are applying for and their chosen program of study.

Military and Veterans Scholarship

This scholarship would be awarded thirty percent (30%) of the cost of tuition fee for the online and hybrid programs for the following categories of Military and Veteran students:

• Active Duty
• Reserve Military Veterans
• Spouse/Dependent of Active Duty or Reserve

Excellence Scholarship

50 excellence scholarships will be awarded fifty percent (50%) of the cost of tuition fee for online programs delivered in Spanish or English, to provide educational opportunities to international students in the Americas, who demonstrate high potential careers. For eligibility to this scholarship, the candidates need to write an essay consisting of 300 words explaining their motivation to enroll at MIU and why are they considered as a high potential candidate.

Gifted and Talented Scholarship

These scholarships will be awarded twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of tuition fee for online graduate English language programs, to international students who have achieved high performance areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, sports or leadership capacities, or in specific academic fields. For eligibility to this scholarship, the candidates need to write an essay consisting of 300 words explaining their motivation to enroll at MIU and why are they considered as talented or gifted candidate.

Merit Based Graduate and Undergraduate Scholarship

These scholarships will be awarded ten percent (10%) of the cost of tuition fee for online or hybrid programs, to domestic and international students who obtained a minimum GPA of 2.9 in their previous studies (High School, bachelor’s or master’s). To maintain the scholarship if awarded, the student must remain enrolled as a full-time student during the spring and fall semesters maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.9.

US Working Professional Residents and Citizens Student Scholarship

This scholarship would be awarded twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of tuition fee for working US residents who wish to enroll in an ONLINE program. In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates must send proof of citizenship or residency in the US along with their US passport, Driver License or ID.

The Organization of American States (OAS) Scholarships

The Organization of American States (“OAS”) has offered Scholarship and Training Programs in order to provide educational opportunities in the America, through these scholarships each year for research, undergraduate, and graduate studies. In this program, attendance-based and distance learning both facilities will be given so that the Scholarship Program’s coverage and impact are strengthened and augmented through alliances established through the conclusion of agreements with internationally recognized universities that share costs, offer joint scholarships, and reduce tuition costs with sixty percent (60%). MIU offers 300 scholarships in full year. The deadline to apply for the first intake of the OAS Scholarship is August 15th, 2025, for the second intake October 31st, 2025.

Mescyt and MIU Scholarships for Students From The Dominican Republic

This scholarship is being partnered with Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology to offer a full scholarship of Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Management and New Technologies online program at MIU City University Miami. So, MIU offers 50 scholarships per year for the Master’s in Educational Leadership, that include the cost of tuition and graduation fee, and the degrees are valid in the Dominican Republic.

• Scholarship to be awarded by MIU: 68%
• Scholarship to be awarded by MESCYT: 32%
• Total: 100% of tuition and fees

Hispanic Undergraduate Scholarship

These scholarships will be awarded seventy-seven percent (77%) of the cost of tuition fee for the students who have been successfully graduated from a recognized high school or secondary institution in Latin America and wish to continue their studies Online with MIU.

Global Leaders’ Scholarship

These scholarships will be awarded hundred percent (100%) of the cost of tuition fee for online programs in English or Spanish to provide educational opportunities to national and international candidates , who have proved themselves as leaders in the field of academics, science, film, sports, politics, etc.

Hispanic Latin American Professional Students’ Scholarships

These scholarships will be awarded thirty five percent (35%) of the cost of tuition fee for graduate program, for those who have successfully graduated from a recognized higher education institution in Spanish-speaking Latin American countries and wish to continue their studies with an online master’s degree at MIU.
