University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023 For International Students

Scholarship opportunities keep coming fast as we have another fully funded scholarship opportunity for international students. Applications are open to apply for the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2023-2024. This fully funded scholarship offers students the opportunity to study in any of the four government universities in Brunei for free. Under Brunei Scholarship candidates can undertake Diploma, Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Master’s Degree.

Brunei Darussalam Scholarship is funded by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each academic year under Brunei Scholarship students from all around the world apply to study in in universities in Brunei Darussalam which gives them the opportunity to experience a diverse culture.

Under Brunei Scholarship successful applicants from all over the world will be able to study in the top four government institutes in Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) and Politeknik Brunei. The Brunei Scholarship offers students exemption from Registration, examination, acceptance, and tuition fee, Monthly stipend, return air ticket, insurance and free accomodation.

Scholarship Benefits

• No tuition fees including acceptance, examination, registration and orientation fees for the duration of the programme
• Economy class free air-ticket
• A monthly personal allowance of BND$500.00
• A monthly meals allowance of BND$150.00
• an annual book allowance of BND$600.00
• Free accommodation at the residential college of the University.
• Baggage allowance for shipment of the scholarship recipient’s personal effects to his country,  BND$250.00 for ASEAN region and BND$500.00 for non-ASEAn region.
• A comprehensive insurance cover for the whole duration of the Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

• Residents of Brunei Darussalam are not eligible for this scholarship
• Students from all other countries are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be, between the ages of 18-25 for Undergraduate and Diploma programmes and must not exceed the age of 35 for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programmes on the 31st July 2022.
• English Language Certificate is required with IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum overall score of 550.
• Candidates cannot bring any family member while studying on scholarship
• Cannot work while studying on Brunei Scholarship

Documents Required to Apply for Brunei Scholarship

• Recent passport size photographs.
• Certified true copies of academic qualifications and other supporting documents
• (i.e. certificates, testimonials, transcripts).
• Certified English translations of supporting documents must be submitted for
• documents that are not in English.
• Applicant’s Statement of Purpose (Item 6).
• Certified true copies of Birth Certificate and Passport.
• Security Vetting from country of origin/residence.

How to Apply for Brunei Darussalam Scholarship ?

1. First you need to fill the application form for Brunei Darussalam Scholarship
2. all application forms must be endorsed by your country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs / Ministry of Education or any national focal points for scholarships in your country.
3. Interested applicants are required to also submit a security clearance statement from their National Security Agency(ies)/ Police Station (i.e. a statement/ report certifying that applicants are clear from any civil and criminal charges).
4. Applicants applying to Universiti Brunei Darussalam must also complete an online application. Link
5. Incomplete application forms will not be considered.
6. International Students are required to send certified true copies of your academic certificates by post to “Office of Admissions, Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Tungku Link, Gadong BE1410, Brunei Darussalam“.
