This is a fully funded scholarship opportunity funded by the Government of Brunei. Students can study Diploma, Undergraduate Degree and Postgraduate Master’s Degree in any of the five government universities in Brunei for free under this Scholarship programme. PhD Programmes are not offered under the BDGS scholarship.
The Brunei Darussalam Ministry of Foreign Affairs is organizing this scholarship program and only international students can apply for this scholarship, Brunei Darussalam residents cannot apply for this. Language of study in Brunei Darussalam is English and applicants needs to provide IELTS/TOEFL test result and if the any documents like transcripts, degrees, id card etc is not in english its needs to be translated in English and certified.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet following criteria/requirements to be eligible to considered for the scholarship,
- Residents of Brunei Darussalam are not eligible for this scholarship
- Students from all other countries are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be, between the ages of 18-25 for Undergraduate and Diploma programmes and must not exceed the age of 35 for Postgraduate Master’s Degree programmes on the 31st July 2021.
- English Language Certificate is required with IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL minimum overall score of 550.
- Candidates cannot bring any family member while studying on scholarship
- Cannot work while studying on Brunei Scholarship

Documents Required to Apply
Following documents are required to apply for the Brunei
- Recent passport size photographs.
- Certified true copies of academic qualifications and other supporting documents
- (i.e. certificates, testimonials, transcripts).
- Certified English translations of supporting documents must be submitted for
- documents that are not in English.
- Applicant’s Statement of Purpose (Item 6).
- Certified true copies of Birth Certificate and Passport.
- Security Vetting from country of origin/residence.
